Paul of Psquare acquires Wrangler jeep

Paul Okoye, the other half of P-Square, a Nigerian R&B music star duo, composed of identical twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, is in the news again few weeks after the resolution of a clash between him and his twin brother. The clash got the Nigerian entertainment talking and made the front burner in the social media.
Few weeks after the resolution of the clash, and when his twin brother, Peter, bought a new Bentley GT, Paul acquired his own new Wrangler Jeep. The 33-year-old shared the news of his new acquisition when he tweeted, “My new kid on da block…..” The SUV costs about N5m.
If you know what you’re getting into, the 2012 Jeep Wrangler is a wonderful way to not only get back to basics, but nature as well. The Wrangler has a wealth of extremes, old-school solid axles at both ends, standard crank windows, incredibly noisy and rough-riding features.
It looks pretty cool and can dive headlong into places where few other vehicles would dare dip their toes. It is about the only new car that allows the removal of not only the roof, but the doors and windshield as well.
Performance
The Jeep Wrangler comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque. The new V6 is a thoroughly modern engine that can get the heavy Wrangler moving briskly. Standard on the Jeep is a four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission with hill-start assist, which features precise but long throws and an easily modulated clutch, while a five-speed automatic is optional. The automatic is now a much more modern five-speed unit that further aids power delivery and fuel economy.
In Edmunds performance testing, an automatic-equipped Wrangler Unlimited went from zero to 60mph in a surprisingly quick 8.8 seconds. Environmental Protection Agency’s estimated fuel economy for the jeep is 16miles per gallon/city, 20mpg/highway and 18mpg combined with the automatic transmission and 16mpg/city and 21mpg/highway with manual transmission. It has fuel tank capacity of 22.5gallons
Features
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler is a convertible SUV available in two-door Wrangler and four-door Wrangler Unlimited versions. Each comes in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trims.
Standard packages available on all trims are 16-inch steel wheels, power steering with mounted audio controls, front and rear tow hooks, foglamps, a removable soft top, crank windows, front and rear beverage holder, manual locks and mirrors, cruise control, a tilt-only steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, USB connection, Bluetooth, iPod/USB audio interface, an upgraded trip computer, CD player, steering wheel controls and a six-speaker sound system with an auxiliary audio jack.
The Unlimited gets a bigger gas tank, more backseat and trunk space, air-conditioning and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The Power Convenience Group adds heated power mirrors, power locks and windows, and keyless entry. Satellite radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 17-inch alloy wheels are also optional.
A multi-piece removable hardtop with a rear defroster and wiper is optional with or without the standard soft top remaining. The Sahara adds the above optional items plus 18-inch alloy wheels, an upgraded suspension, under-hood insulation, side steps, automatic headlamps and body-coloured fender flares.
Optional are leather upholstery, heated front seats, automatic climate control and a navigation system that includes a touchscreen interface, digital music storage and real-time traffic.
Safety
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler comes standard with antilock disc brakes, low tire pressure warning, compass, traction and stability control, and hill start assist. Front side airbags are optional. In Edmunds brake testing, the Wrangler came to a stop from 60 mph in about 140 feet.
Interior Design and Special Features
The Jeep Wrangler is a vehicle meant to drive through dust, dirt and muck and then be easily cleaned afterward. Interior materials and switchgear have been dramatically improved and the design now has a rounder and more organic look.
The four-door Wrangler offers 86 cubic feet of cargo space when the second-row seats are folded, which seems substantial.
Driving Impressions
The Wrangler has a cabin that can handle both off-road and metropolitan trips; thanks to its washable interior, more comfortable seats and upscale feel. It is pretty much unstoppable in off-road situations; thanks to its specialised hardware. It also feels more stable around corners and on the highway.
The good: Reviewers are also impressed with its off-road abilities, calling it the toughest, most capable SUV in its class.
The bad: Reviewers say all Wranglers suffer from tippy handling, a rough ride and steering that is kindly described as nebulous, and that road and wind noise are also excessive.
